The Year in London

London through the eyes of an MA student new to the city

About

Now the Warwick years are over, I am embarking upon a year in London.

At Warwick university I studied English Literature and I have now changed to do an MA in Art History at UCL.

This is a blog about life in London as an MA student. Here I record quirky scenes, unusual places, delicious restaurants and cafes, London culture, fashion and habits. Anything and everything that catches my eye, that makes me think, that is unusual. Overall, this is a diary of my time in the city – though without the personal spiel – so I can remember different details of my amazing year and share my findings with others.

All the photographs are those that I have taken. I hope to document my time in London in as creative a way as possible, using a wide variety of creative means.

In addition to this blog, I have another (helencobby.wordpress.com), which is more like a portfolio of my written work and artistic practices. I am a freelance writer aspiring to be an arts journalist and critic, and curator at a leading gallery.

I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback about my blog(s). Any ideas about unusual and quirky areas or things to do in London are most welcome too. Please send me a message below:
