The Year in London

London through the eyes of an MA student new to the city

Paths to take

Travelling across London can be a humorous event, it doesn’t always have to be a stressful or hectic experience. The image below, which I captured on the way out of a tube station, got me thinking about this and how we can experience the potentially confusing nature of travel and its ‘signs’.

It also made me wonder about how we make choices and what makes us act. At the moment I am constantly having to make choices that might lead me down one path, while possibly closing off another. The following quote that I came across recently made me smile in both the contexts about travelling and choices that I have tried to describe.

“When nothing goes right… go left”

  1. That made me laugh as I always seem to have to go left!
