I came across this brilliant installation when I was walking along the Southbank after going to a talk at the Tate about The State of Art featuring Cornelia Parker and Kelly Grovier (article about the event coming soon).
This #sleepingbear was attracting many people due to its intriguing light display upon a leaf-covered hut by the river. The loud snoring noises coming from it also helped to attract this attention.
Not having researched much into it, I am very curious to know ideas behind it: Is it for a specific event? Who made it? Why was the Southbank chosen as its display location? Why has it appeared now? … If any knows anything about it, I would love to hear from you!
