This relatively large jewellery gallery is a beautiful space and has important temporary exhibitions. The latest, called ‘New Talent’, has showcased up and coming young jewellery designers and makers, including work by Grace Hamilton (who recently was given a prominent interview in Crafts Magazine). The materials used to make the jewellery are unusual and even surprising, which gives a very contemporary and experimental feel to the space and what it signifies or represents.
The Lesley Craze Gallery is in Farringdon, very near to the tube station and other jewellery centres. I caught their latest exhibition just before it ended and so had no time to look at other artistic spaces in Farringdon, but am keen to go back and do more exploring.
